Tex-Siberia Aftermath

After a week of sub-freezing temperatures this past February, leaving many of our friends and neighbors without power, heat, and potable water for several days, those of us who were spared significant issues were left wondering…

How can we give back, and to whom?

We were fortunate to receive a request from a local woman who provides food and shelter to our neighbors, for anything we could spare…and we were fortunate to have something to give. A few hundred tamales and several pounds of ground meat later, our neighbors, many of whom had been sleeping in her house, had plenty to eat.

From this, a new pipeline has also emerged, as we now have a few places to send harvested pigs and deer from Machac NZ Ranch, so that our neighbors have a hot meal, even when mother nature throws a curve ball and we don’t all have a warm place to sleep.

Until the next time, take care of yourselves, and each other!
